Immersive Cultural Installation & Interactive Booth Design
A series of interactive festival booths inspired by traditional Chinese cultural rituals, reinterpreted through contemporary spatial experiences.
The installation transforms heritage activities into playful spatial experiences, inviting visitors to explore, participate, and celebrate the arrival of spring.

DESIGN concept
Six Steeds Galloping into Spring
Inspired by the legendary Six Steeds, the installation celebrates the arrival of spring through symbolic cultural activities. Traditional festive practices—such as sugar sculpting, calligraphy, fortune rituals, and games—are reinterpreted into contemporary spatial installations.
Each booth translates a traditional cultural ritual into an interactive spatial experience.

SPATIAL VISUALIZATION
3D renderings were produced using Rhino3D, Enscape, and Photoshop to explore spatial composition and visitor experience within the atrium environment.
All 3D visualizations were developed by the designer.
VISITOR JOURNEY
Collecting Blessings Through Six Experiences
Visitors travel through a sequence of themed booths, each offering a distinct cultural interaction. As participants complete each activity, they receive a commemorative stamp—turning the experience into a playful journey of discovery.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
The design development explores key cultural motifs—including horses, lanterns, and symbolic forms—which informed the spatial layout and visual language of the installation.
3D visualizations were developed to explore spatial composition, booth layouts, and experiential elements before construction.

A live demonstration of traditional Chinese sugar sculpting.
Visitors observe artisans shaping delicate figures and receive a handmade sugar candy as a souvenir.

Spin for Your Fortune
Each visitor may spin the fortune wheel once.
The segment indicated by the pointer reveals their symbolic “lucky keyword” for the year ahead.
After completing the activity, participants receive a commemorative stamp.

Blessing Tags
Visitors select a blessing tag that best represents their wishes for the coming year.
The chosen tag can be taken home as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity.

Ancient Pitch-Pot Challenge
Inspired by a traditional Chinese court game, visitors throw arrows into a target vessel from a designated distance.
Landing three successful throws completes the challenge.

Calligraphy & Fortune Writing
A professional calligrapher performs live calligraphy, creating traditional ‘福’“Fu” (fortune) characters.
Visitors may receive a handwritten blessing or try writing their own fortune on red paper.
