Built Lab Office Design
Overview
This project reimagines a lab office as a future-oriented workplace that supports collaboration, focus, and innovation.
Inspired by the idea of a “Future Intelligence Realm,” the design creates an environment that feels efficient, immersive, and technologically driven while remaining clear and functional for everyday use.
Developed as part of a collaborative freelance team, the project was realized and built in 2025.

Concept
The concept imagines the workplace as a “Future Intelligence Realm,” where scientific exploration and advanced technology shape the atmosphere of the space.
Drawing inspiration from the idea of a space station, the design emphasizes clarity, movement, and a sense of discovery within the daily working environment.
The result is a lab office that feels both visionary and functional.
Existing Transformation
The project transforms an existing office into a more immersive and efficient workplace environment.
By introducing stronger spatial identity, refined material selections, and a more intentional user experience, the design shifts the space from a conventional office into a future-facing research environment.
Spatial Strategy
The spatial layout was developed to support different modes of work, including collaboration, focused tasks, and informal interaction. Clear circulation, defined working zones, and open shared areas help organize the office into an efficient and user-centered environment. Material and lighting strategies reinforce both spatial clarity and the project’s forward-looking identity.

Lobby Design
The lobby establishes the project’s first impression through a clean and contemporary composition of light, material, and form. Designed as an arrival space for both staff and visitors, it introduces the workplace identity while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere.
Workspace Design
The workspace was designed to support productivity, flexibility, and visual clarity across the office environment. Open desk arrangements, lighting integration, and material contrast help create a balanced atmosphere that feels both focused and collaborative.
Meeting + Lounge Design
The meeting and lounge areas provide moments of pause, discussion, and informal connection within the larger workplace. These spaces soften the technical character of the office by introducing more relaxed seating, warmer materials, and a greater sense of comfort.
3D visualizations were developed to study atmosphere, lighting, material expression, and the overall user experience of the project. The renderings helped communicate the spatial identity of the workplace and support the design process across key interior zones.
This freelance project was developed as part of a collaborative team and completed as a built interior in 2025.
